New Levels Program

I love the fact that the new Levels programs give students the opportunity to watch Pat with a variety of horses – especially in Levels 3 and 4! It’s great to see him how he manages the different Horsenalities. Some have more go, some have more whoa, and he adjusts subtly to be what they need. There is also a point at which Pat’s horses get so confident and in tune with him that you almost can’t tell what Horsenality they are…unless they are really extreme (Vanna, for example!).

When creating the new Levels, we focused on two main goals: going back to the basics at the core of the Parelli program, and making the pathway as simple and transparent as possible.  In light of that, the new product is based on video-learning – on you watching and listening to Pat as he speaks straight to you.  

Yesterday, I mentioned Pat’s ”Can You”’s so I thought I’d elaborate on that today.  The ”Can You”’s  are one of my favorite elements of Pat’s teaching style, and you’ll find a “Can You?” section in almost every DVD of the new Levels.  After giving you some education and information, Pat knows exactly what to task you with to test your understanding.

It’s been great to watch the new Levels because they were being filmed right at the time that I broke my ribs.  Usually, I am very involved in the filming and creation process, but, because of my injury, I didn’t get to see much.  So, I’m watching these new DVDs much like our students will…and it’s a great perspective to have.
