“This is a tremendous opportunity for NCHA, and we are especially excited to have Pat join us for the 50th Futurity,” said Jeff Hooper, NCHA Executive Director,  “His fan base extends well beyond our membership, and we are looking forward to bringing his talents and expertise to our show."

While at the event, fans of Pat Parelli will also get an opportunity to see some of the best cutting horses and cutting horse riders perform during the Futurity and visit the over 175 vendors in our Best of the West Premier Shopping Experience in the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall.

Pat Parelli is especially excited to host a clinic at the NCHA’s 50th Futurity, as cutting is a passion close to his heart.  "My goal is to get people to put natural horsemanship principles to a purpose," Parelli says. Pat Parelli has extensive experience in applying his natural horsemanship methods to cutting, and looks forward to sharing this expertise at this clinic.

The Parelli Method combines in-depth equine psychology and common sense communication techniques to give both rider and horse ultimate success.  Horse owners at all levels of experience are able to achieve success without force, partnership without dominance and harmony without coercion.

The National Cutting Horse Association has more than 20,000 members from a wide range of backgrounds. Each year more than 2,200 NCHA-approved events are held throughout North America, with more than $43 million in prize money awarded. Parelli Natural Horsemanship
The Parelli approach is not to train horses, but to teach each horse owner to become his or her own horse trainer, and to succeed by building a relationship of trust with each horse. Horsemanship skills are taught in the Parelli program, but the foundation of the method is built on the relationship as primary. Horse owners who follow the Parelli program have found that not only does the program enable them to become a gifted horse trainer in their chosen discipline while achieving exciting horsemanship successes, but they come away with the lasting gift of an enhanced relationship and communication with their horse.
