Some funny moments from the UK

Pat and I had a great time yesterday with the Gold Savvy members at the Summit here in Stoneleigh Park. We continue to be amaze by the enthusiasm and dedication that our Parelli students have. The Summit was a great way to end our week in the UK!

I want to share a few funny stories about this year’s UK Celebration! As many of you know, we changed a few things during the program. I think the funniest part was the start of the show. The event production crew wanted us to come out behind one of the grandstands instead of straight into the arena as usual. So the music started, "Celebrate good times, come on!" and everyone was on their feet dancing and singing. Then it changed to the Robin Hood theme with visuals of Pat, Casper and Magic. Then "Ready for a Change" began (with Mary Ann Kennedy and Katie Drake) and Neil's voice introduced us. All of a sudden the spotlights raced up the arena and shone on the curtains at the back and there we were. People were clapping and cheering, but the people in front of us had no idea we were behind them! As we started running down the stairs we turned and waved at them and you should have seen the looks of surprise and shock on their faces! It was so much fun.

We continued down the stairs, past the VIPs and to the arena entrance where Pat and I ran toward each other and pretended to miss. Haha! Then I jumped in his arms, we did a little dance move and ran into the arena. It was an amazing feeling, so much fun and the electricity in the air from 4000 excited horse lovers was incredible. All through the weekend the tweaks of the production crew and these little special effects gave an added sense of spectacle and specialness to the event – it was great.

Another funny moment…Sue Shoemark was hurrying me backstage from my signing booth to be ready for my session and we were stopped by security. They weren't going to let me in because I didn't have a badge on! We had to do some talking and then it dawned on the guy who I was. He was mortified, so apologetic, but I said not to worry...he was doing a great job!

Until next week, have fun and keep it natural!

Yours Naturally,
Linda
