Dear Friends,

I’m reading an EXCELLENT book at the moment, and I thought some of you might be interested in checking it out. It’s called Nonviolent Communication and is by Marshall Rosenberg. It’s a very powerful message about becoming responsible for how you give and receive communication, how being judgmental colors your language in unfavorable ways, and most of all how to express your feelings both to yourself and to others. Very thought provoking, powerful messages. I see a lot of parallels between this and what we teach with horses and I think it’s one of the best books I’ve read that conveys the deeper messages of non-judgment, understanding and emotional fitness…and teaches you how to do that with people. I’ve now got the audio CDs and have them in my car so I can listen to them over and over.

As for New Year’s, Pat and I are going to a party tonight, which is a bit of a departure from our pattern for the last ten years! We usually have a quiet night and definitely don’t stay up until midnight, so it will be interesting to see if we make it tonight. Tomorrow, we’ll be visiting some friends, cooking an Indian feast together and watching some movies. Should be fun. Smile

Yours Naturally,
Linda
