Dear Friends,
When Pat asked me what my favorite part of the UK Celebration was I had to say…ALL OF IT! This really was the best event we have ever staged. The audience was on fire, Pat was brilliant, the demo horse was really interesting (LB Introvert race horse that would stop after coming out of the gate!), audio visual support for my session on introverts and extroverts made it more educational in the absence of having my horses there… and then the spotlights were spectacular featuring some of our top people here in Europe and UK. On Sunday Pat continued with the racehorse and blew us all away with his finale (can’t tell you what he did, you’ll have to see it on the DVD!). Then Remmer’s stand-in, Goyani, really came through with me and my lesson with Walter was our best session yet. Lauren brought it all to an emotional close with her gold medal story. On top of all that we had a professional production crew and the lights, sound and AV features were fantastic.
No doubt this event is special – Maybe it is because we only get there once a year (if that) and that so much has been done without us. It really feels like people think it’s special that we’re coming all the way over to see them, they show it. And then being at the NEC, it’s a spectacular venue. The lighting, sound, arena and seating is all really first class. And this year the Savvy Plaza (our supermarket) was in the newly renovated foyer and had a live, special feel all of it’s own. There were people everywhere!
There’s one other thing that strikes me too… this is a nation of animal lovers and it comes across so strongly from the audience and also from the people we meet and come up to say hello. There were many emotional moments for me this weekend.
Thanks to everyone who made this such an amazing event. It was an experience Pat and I will never forget!
