It’s been great to watch the new Levels because they were being filmed right at the time that I broke my ribs. Usually, I am very involved in the filming and creation process, but, because of my injury, I didn’t get to see much. So, I’m watching these new DVDs much like our students will…and it’s a great perspective to have.
First of all, Pat is just so watchable. He’s interesting and engaging – and I live with the guy! His love of horses comes shining through, and Pat’s passion can be really infectious. What more could you ask for than a little bit of Pat’s passion every day to get you out there moving forward with your horse?
Second, I love the structure and format of the new product. This is the first time we’ve presented the Levels by Savvy – On Line in Level 1, On Line and FreeStyle in Level 2, On Line, FreeStyle, and Liberty in Level 3, and then finally at Level 4 you have all 4 Savvys: On Line, FreeStyle, Liberty, and Finesse. This is going to really set people up for success by making sure they’re really prepared for each Savvy before they dive into it. It will also make things clearer for people who don’t or can’t ride because they can focus on just advancing on the ground if they want to.
The chapters on each DVD are also incredibly helpful – they make it easier to revisit the lessons and concepts as you manage your learning journey, and Pat’s ”Can You”’s will help you know when review is needed. Pat also demonstrates simulations – which you should do even when you’re not able to get to your horse. You need to keep working on yourself. It takes a lot of practice to become a horseman, and your horse is the one who will appreciate your growing skills and savvy the most.
Naturally Yours,
Linda
